Filmed on location across Pakistan, the documentary centers on beneficiaries of various components of Ehsaas Programme and gathers testimonials from them focusing on the benefits of specific interventions on aspects of their life, the ease of access and use of digital platforms, the security and accountability along with the affect on their personal lives and as a secondary benefit, on the community.
The film captures the hardship, the diversity and the resilience of the people of Pakistan and highlights clearly the impact of well thought out programmes that empower families to work towards poverty graduation and break the cycles of poverty.
Narrated by Senator Dr. Sania Nishtar, SI, the film delves deep into the vision and impact of the Ehsaas Programme, from its inception till the three-year mark.

ABOUT THE EHSAAS 2047 DOCUMENTARY
Ehsaas 2047 is a captivating and detailed narration of the Ehsaas Programme – one of the most well-crafted, award winning welfare programmes in Pakistan, came to the limelight when the global Covid – 19 pandemic hit the world. Already in its second year of implementation, the programme won global recognition as it rapidly adapted to shock proof Pakistani citizens living well below the poverty line. This film looks at the lives of people from across Pakistan as they deal with climate change, catastrophic health expenditures, lack of basic facilities like access to education, sustained livelihood and food supply.
Filmed on location in Pakistan by a passionate crew, led by Director Abdul Basit, the feature length documentary encapsulates the vision of Senator, Dr. Sania Nishtar, SI the brain behind the Ehsaas framework. The video takes us on a journey of the Ehsaas vision interspersed with the lives of the people of this nation.
Ehsaas Kafaalat
Ehsaas Kafaalat; an unconditional cash transfer programme that includes six monthly cash stipends of Rs. 14,000 and bank account for 8 million poorest women across all districts of the country.
The Ehsaas Kafaalat payment system features biometrically enabled disbursements to beneficiary women on six monthly basis.
Ehsaas Rashan Riayat
Ehsaas Rashan Riayat programme aims to reduce the impact of inflation for the marginalized segments of society. Under the programme, a targeted subsidy of Rs. 1,000 a month will be granted to each of 20 million eligible families on the purchase of flour, pulses, cooking oil. Accordingly, 30% subsidy will be given on these three items, per unit purchase.
Ehsaas Nashonuma
Ehsaas Nashonuma programme is a health and nutrition conditional cash transfer programme which aims to address stunting in children under 23 months of age. Pakistan’s high rates of 40.2% stunting, 28.9% underweight and 17.7% wasting are indicative of an on-going crisis among children.
Ehsaas Rehribaan
In collaboration with the Capital Development Authority, Ehsaas has implemented an initiative to give street hawkers licenses, which will enable their protection against predatory elements. This project is currently in its nascent stages and will be upscaled incrementally based on evidence.
