Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Programme

This is the largest ever need cum merit based undergraduate scholarship programme in the history of Pakistan. Every year, 50,000 students from low-income families are awarded scholarships for 4 to 5-year undergraduate degree programmes.Over four years, 200,000 undergraduate scholarships will be awarded.

Fifty percent scholarships are reserved for girls. Total budget over 4 years is Rs. 24 billion.

Ehsaas scholarships are offered at 135 public sector universities across all four provinces, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Scholarships covers 100% of the tuition fee and a living stipend (Rs. 4,000 per month).Scholarship of eligible students are continued till the completion of their undergraduate degree. Disbursements are linked to their academic performance.

Every year, students taking new admissions in university with family income less than 45,000 are eligible to apply via the HEC. Higher Education Commission (HEC) is the lead implementing agency for the Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship programme.

The programme commenced in Nov 2019 for the academic year 2019-20. In last two years, 142,000 scholarships worth Rs. 13.2 Billion have been awarded nationwide among eligible students.
